Be Willing To Donate Blood Often- But How Often can you donate blood?

I donate blood every 54 days at the AM Red Cross Waco 4224 Cobbs Drive Waco, TX 76710.  I've been doing it for almost a year and am very proud of myself.  I actually am boderline anemic, but take two iron pills daily so I can keep my iron count up.  It has helped.  Sometimes I'm only a point or two above the level needed to give blood. Taking the pills and eating foods rich in Vitamin E help.  I HATE getting stuck twice with a needle, but I LOVE giving blood.  Did you know every two seconds someone needs blood?  I'm A+, and proud of it~!  Give blood not only today, but every 56 days.

Did you know that giving back to your community doesn't mean you have to be a part of a service organization?  You can serve in your community by recycling.  I recycle paper and plastics every 56 days when I head into town to give blood.  It's a morning full of service to the community.  Sometimes it's just individual efforts that make all the difference in the world.  When I recycle my paper, I head out to the City of Waco' Solid Waste Center on Cobbs.  Please consider recycling.  It will make the world a better place.
